How is the CUIT formed?
Two type digits (20/27 male/female, 23/24 monotributo, 30/33/34 companies), 8 DNI digits and a check digit computed with modulo 11 and weights 5-4-3-2-7-6-5-4-3-2.
What do the first two digits mean?
20: male, 27: female, 23/24: monotributo or special cases, 30/33/34: legal entities depending on the case.
Is the generated CUIT official?
The algorithm is AFIP/ARCA’s official one, but the final CUIT is assigned by the agency. Use it as a reference and check the registry.
Can I validate an existing CUIT with this tool?
Yes, type the full 11-digit CUIT and the tool checks the verification digit with the official modulo 11. If the digit doesn't match, the CUIT is invalid or has a typing error.
What if my generated CUIT doesn't match AFIP's records?
