About

VOV.app is a minimal online toolbox: fast, free utilities with no sign-up. No downloads, no accounts, no fine print.

It started with a simple idea: small everyday tasks (counting words, generating a password, converting a currency, computing your exact age) should not force you to install an app or hand over your email. So we built tools that do one thing and do it well, right in your browser.

Today VOV.app includes 23 free tools, from currency and time zone converters to all kinds of calculators, plus a global passport ranking with visa requirements for 199 countries.

It is an independent project, built and maintained by a single person, running on Cloudflare's global network so it loads fast wherever you are.

Who makes it

VOV.app is maintained by its creator, Alejandro (vochina on GitHub), a full-stack developer with over a decade building software, including payment systems. Every tool is designed, coded and tested by him before publication.

How we build the tools

Every tool follows the same process:

Documented algorithm: we use the official rules where they exist (modulo 11 for RUT/CUIT, modulo 23 for the DNI letter, RAE rules for numbers to words, LFT tables for aguinaldo and finiquito) and say so on the page.
Verified against real examples: every calculation is checked against official or well-known examples before publishing (for instance, the RFC was verified against the IFAI example case).
Privacy by design: everything is computed in your browser; your data never leaves your device.
No fine print: when a tool is an estimate rather than an official document, we say so clearly on the page.

Editorial policy

We publish tools we have tested ourselves. We fix bugs when users report them (see Contact) and update data that changes over time, such as exchange rates or the UF value. We do not publish sponsored content disguised as tools.
