How it works
How it works: your expression is evaluated with our own math parser (no eval), with correct operator precedence and nested parentheses support. Trigonometric angles use the selected DEG/RAD mode.
Use cases
- Solve sines, logarithms and powers for your trigonometry homework without hunting down the physical calculator
- Calculate square roots and exponents to prep for your physics exam tomorrow without breaking a sweat
- Do operations in scientific notation for your chemistry lab practice and verify your final results
Frequently asked questions
How do I switch degrees/radians?
With the DEG/RAD button: it affects sin, cos, tan and their inverses.
What does "E" mean in the result?
Scientific notation: 1.5E11 means 1.5 × 10¹¹. It appears for very large or very small numbers.
Can I use the keyboard?
Yes: type numbers, + − * / ^ ( ) and press Enter to calculate; C or Escape clears.
How do I calculate powers and square roots here?
Use the xʸ button for powers (e.g. 2^10) and √ for square roots. You also have logarithms, factorials and constants like π available in the panel.
Does the calculator keep a history of my operations?
Yes, your recent operations stay visible below the display so you can review or reuse a result. They're cleared when you reload the page for privacy.
