Distance between coordinates
Calculate the straight-line distance between two points on Earth (Haversine formula).
Enter two latitude/longitude pairs and get the geodesic distance between them, in kilometers and miles.

How it works
How it works: Haversine formula on a 6,371 km radius sphere. The straight-line distance over Earth surface, not driving distance.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the driving distance?
No: it is the straight line over the globe ("as the crow flies"). By road it is usually 20-40% more.
What format do coordinates use?
Decimal degrees: latitude −90 to 90 (negative = south), longitude −180 to 180 (negative = west). E.g. CDMX: 19.43, −99.13.
How accurate is it?
Earth is not a perfect sphere, but the Haversine error is under 0.5%: plenty for trip planning.
